Known globally for his unmistakable voice and revolutionary contributions to reggae and dancehall music, Buju Banton is set to bring his electric energy and legendary catalogue to the Essence stage for the first time.
The festival’s 2025 theme, We Are “Made Like This” is quite fitting as Buju Banton continues to be celebrated for his powerful lyricism and soul-shaking performances. He will join the likes of GloRilla, Boyz II Men, Davido, Master P, Maxwell, The Isley Brothers, Donell Jones and Muni Long, among others. With a legacy that spans decades and a fan base that stretches across continents, his presence is a significant not just for reggae, but for the global representation of Caribbean excellence on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.
