Her musical journey began at age nine in Port of Spain, singing in school and church choirs. After migrating to the U.S., she joined Caribbean bands Surface and Traffik, and in 2014 co-wrote “Haunted” for Soca icon Machel Montano. While studying law through the University of London, Jadel ultimately followed her passion for music full-time. She broke through in 2016 with the Chutney Soca hit “All of It,” earning the Carib Breakout Artiste Award and launching a European tour. Tracks like “Round N Round” and “Jam Day” brought her to the Soca Monarch Finals and cemented her place in the Carnival scene. In 2020, Jadel released her debut album “Call Me Jadel,” featuring hits like “Hold Me Close,” “Jam Day,” and “Round N Round” — amassing over 2 million streams. Her 2021 single “Deserve It All” became her most-streamed release, surpassing 7 million streams and landing features on BET Jams and MTV.
