Boston Carnival 2015 Highlights
Julianspromos was on the road for Boston Carnival 2015, capturing the color, music and Caribbean energy of the celebration in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
For the 2015 presentation, Julianspromos joined Camo Band by Evolution Entertainment, documenting the band’s “Shipwrecked” theme and the experience of masqueraders on the road.
Original video coverage was produced by Julian Hackett and Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson, with Vivaa also serving as the on-camera host. Additional aerial footage from the celebration was captured by Boston-based videographer Calvin Tucker.
On the Road With Camo Band
Camo Band’s 2015 presentation brought the Shipwrecked theme to Boston Carnival through costume, mas and Caribbean music.
Vivaa participated in the band wearing the “Sunken Treasure Queen” costume, designed by Daryl, with the concept developed collaboratively by Vivaa and the designer.
Her participation allowed the Julianspromos coverage to capture Boston Carnival from within the masquerade experience, combining on-the-road hosting with original video coverage of the band and surrounding celebration.

The Boston Carnival footage forms part of Julianspromos’ wider multimedia history, documenting Caribbean Carnivals and cultural events across several North American and international destinations.
With Julian and Vivaa representing the Julianspromos media team, the coverage captured both the presentation of Camo Band and the wider Carnival atmosphere in Dorchester.
