2013 marked another year of growth for Julianspromos as our Caribbean media coverage continued expanding across New York and Miami. From Carnival and J’Ouvert to artist interviews, live performances, fetes, boat rides and mas presentations, the surviving archive captures another chapter in the evolution of Julianspromos and Caribbean entertainment during the early 2010s.

The 2013 archive captures Julianspromos during a period when the platform’s coverage was becoming increasingly broad. What had begun with New York-based digital promotion and event media was developing into a growing Caribbean multimedia archive, with cameras documenting Carnival culture, artists and audiences across multiple cities.
The surviving videos and photography now offer more than highlights from individual events. Viewed together, they preserve a snapshot of Caribbean entertainment during a rapidly changing digital era and show how Julianspromos’ coverage continued expanding beyond its New York base
