2015 Six Flags Caribbean Concert Highlights – Machel Montano & Friends

On Sunday, July 12, 2015, Julianspromos returned to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey for another chapter of the Six Flags Caribbean Concert Series, with Machel Montano among the featured performers. Machel’s official event archive confirms the July 12, 2015 date and Six Flags Great Adventure location.

The event brought together Soca artists and Caribbean entertainment for a full day at the theme park, with performances from Machel Montano, Request Band, Fadda Fox, Skinny Fabulous, Angela Hunte, Rayzor and Leonce of Request Band, Young Devyn and Tallpree, along with a record-holding limbo dancer.

Julianspromos coverage was handled by Julian Hackett and Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson, continuing their years of documenting the Caribbean Concert Series and Caribbean entertainment throughout the New York and New Jersey area. The surviving JulianspromosTV video was uploaded on July 14, 2015.

Machel Montano Returns to Six Flags

Machel Montano’s appearance was one of the major attractions of the July 2015 concert. His return to Six Flags Great Adventure brought one of Soca’s biggest names back to the New Jersey theme park for a live summer performance.

The Julianspromos highlights capture Machel alongside performers connected to the Request Band, adding another entry to the extensive collection of Machel Montano performances documented by Julianspromos during this era.

By 2015, Machel had already been featured numerous times across Julianspromos coverage in New York, Miami, Hollywood and other markets, making the Six Flags appearance another chapter in a relationship between the platform’s archive and one of Soca’s most internationally recognized performers.

A Full Caribbean Lineup

The concert extended well beyond its headline attraction.

Fadda Fox and Skinny Fabulous brought additional Soca representation to the stage, while Angela Hunte, Young Devyn, Tallpree, Rayzor and Leonce were also included in the performance lineup documented by Julianspromos.

That mix of artists reflected the broader purpose of the Caribbean Concert Series: bringing multiple parts of Caribbean music and entertainment together within one large-scale family event.

Rather than attending only for a nighttime concert, guests could spend the day inside Six Flags Great Adventure before transitioning into live Caribbean entertainment.

Ten Years of the Caribbean Concert Series

The 2015 season marked the 10th anniversary of the Six Flags Caribbean Concert Series, presented by TriniFly Promotions. Contemporary coverage of the series confirms that 2015 was its tenth year at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Over the years, the series became a recognizable summer destination for Caribbean audiences across New York, New Jersey and the surrounding region, combining the attractions of Six Flags with performances from prominent Soca, Reggae and Dancehall artists.

For Julianspromos, Six Flags also became an important recurring location within the company’s early media history.

Julian & Vivaa Back at Six Flags

The 2015 highlights were captured by Julian Hackett and Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson.

Six Flags already held a particularly important place in Julianspromos history. The platform had covered Caribbean concerts at the park during earlier years, and Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson’s surviving Julianspromos media archive lists Six Flags coverage across 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.

Returning in 2015 therefore represented more than another event on the calendar. It continued a relationship with a venue and concert series that had been part of Julianspromos’ development from its earliest years of on-location media coverage.

By this point, Julian and Vivaa had documented Caribbean events throughout several cities, but Six Flags remained connected to the foundation of that journey.

Young Devyn Returns to the Julianspromos Story

The inclusion of Young Devyn in the 2015 lineup also carries historical significance within the Julianspromos archive.

Years earlier, Young Devyn had been connected to one of the earliest interviews associated with Julianspromos, before the platform expanded into the much larger Caribbean media operation that followed.

Seeing her among the performers documented during the 2015 Six Flags coverage creates a natural link between Julianspromos’ beginnings and the platform it had become four years later.

Preserving the Six Flags Era

The Six Flags Caribbean concerts occupy a distinctive place within the Julianspromos archive because they combined major Caribbean performers, family entertainment and the atmosphere of one of the region’s largest amusement parks.

The July 2015 footage preserves not only performances from Machel Montano and the wider lineup, but another snapshot of the period when Julianspromos was steadily expanding its event coverage and building a long-term video record of Caribbean entertainment in the United States.

What may originally have been produced simply as current event coverage now serves as historical footage of the artists, events and personalities moving through the Caribbean entertainment circuit during the mid-2010s.

From the Julianspromos Archives

2015 Six Flags Caribbean Concert Highlights – Machel Montano & Friends is preserved as part of the Julianspromos Archives, documenting the growth of Caribbean music, Carnival culture and entertainment across more than a decade of original media coverage.

The July 12, 2015 event at Six Flags Great Adventure featured Machel Montano, Request Band, Fadda Fox, Skinny Fabulous, Angela Hunte, Young Devyn, Tallpree, Rayzor and Leonce, with original Julianspromos coverage by Julian Hackett and Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson.

The surviving footage remains another piece of the story of Julianspromos, the Six Flags Caribbean Concert Series and the artists who helped define this era of Soca and Caribbean entertainment.
