In August 2012, Julianspromos returned to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey for the Caribbean Summer Concert Series, documenting a reggae and dancehall-focused concert featuring Jamaican artists Mavado and I-Octane.

The concert took place on August 12, 2012, during the second day of a two-day Caribbean Summer Concert Series presented at Six Flags. The Sunday lineup was promoted around Mavado, I-Octane and Barrington Levy, bringing a major reggae and dancehall lineup to the Northern Star Arena.

For Julianspromos, the assignment became another important part of a rapidly expanding 2012 media schedule. Rather than documenting only Soca events, the team was increasingly covering the wider Caribbean music industry, including reggae and dancehall, while producing both live-performance footage and original artist interviews.

Mavado Live at Six Flags

The original Julianspromos archive centered the coverage around Mavado, preserving a live medley from his appearance at the Six Flags Caribbean Concert.

The original website post was titled “Mavado 2012 Six Flags Caribbean Concert Live Medley” and was published on August 27, 2012, making it one of the surviving original Julianspromos posts from that year's event coverage.

Mavado was one of the headline attractions at the August 12 concert. Contemporary coverage from the event describes his appearance as part of a night devoted heavily to Jamaican reggae and dancehall, alongside I-Octane and Barrington Levy.

For Julianspromos, capturing Mavado at Six Flags added another major Caribbean artist to an archive that was becoming increasingly diverse during 2012.

I-Octane Performance & Pre-Stage Interview with Vivaa

The surviving Julianspromos coverage was actually broader than the original Mavado-only website article suggested.

Julianspromos also documented I-Octane, capturing both his performance and a pre-stage interview conducted by Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson.

The original video is titled “I-Octane Performance & Pre Stage Interview w. VIVAA @ Six Flags Reggae Concert 2012,” directly confirming Vivaa's role in the coverage.

The interview adds considerably more depth to the historical record of the event. Julianspromos was not simply standing in the audience filming stage performances. Vivaa was interacting directly with one of the featured artists before he took the stage, creating original material around the concert as it unfolded.

That combination of artist access, interviews and performance footage was becoming an increasingly important part of the Julianspromos approach to event media.

The surviving Julianspromos history provides even more context.

Vivaa's original media-history page identifies the assignment as:

“Six Flags Caribbean Concert NY w. Mavado & I-Octane (2012)”

and specifically notes that the coverage included interviews with Mavado and I-Octane.

That means this rebuilt archive article should no longer be treated simply as a Mavado performance post.

It was a broader Julianspromos media assignment involving at least two of the night's major artists, with Vivaa conducting interviews as part of the coverage.

For Vivaa, it adds another substantial piece to the body of work she was building in 2012 as one of Julianspromos' primary on-camera correspondents.

A Major Reggae and Dancehall Night at Six Flags

The coverage preserves Mavado performing live, I-Octane performing and speaking with Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson before taking the stage, and evidence of Vivaa interviewing both featured artists during the assignment.

It also documents another step in Julianspromos' evolution during 2012.

The company was expanding geographically.

Its correspondents were gaining artist access.

Its original media output was increasing.

And its coverage was reaching beyond Soca into the wider Caribbean music industry.
