Julianspromos was on the road for the 2015 New York West Indian Day Carnival, capturing the music, costumes and Carnival energy of the annual Caribbean celebration on September 7, 2015.
Original Julianspromos coverage was produced by Julian Hackett, with Sheniele “Vivaa” Dodson representing Julianspromos on camera and bringing viewers directly into the Carnival experience.
On the Road With Sesame Carnival
For the 2015 celebration, Julianspromos joined Sesame Carnival, documenting the band's presentation and the atmosphere surrounding its masqueraders on the road.
Vivaa played mas with Sesame Carnival in the Alarsh (Mid Line) section, featuring a costume designed by Stronjeh Creations.
The combination of mas, Soca and on-the-ground media coverage gave Julianspromos viewers a firsthand look at New York Carnival through the perspective of the people participating in it.
